Several people were reported killed and many more wounded on Wednesday in a mass shooting at a center for people with developmental disabilities in San Bernadino, California.
Local police scanner chatter suggests cops and SWAT are working to rescue dozens of people from Inland Regional Center, a sprawling complex near a golf course.
The building houses almost 700 staff-members who "provide services to more than 30,200 people with developmental disabilities and their families in San Bernardino and Riverside counties," according to Inland's Facebook page.
The number of those killed and injured remains unclear, but a local ABC affiliate is reporting that 12 have been killed.
Live video shows an active and fluid situation as cops with guns drawn search for suspects—three of them—and rescue innocents. The shooting comes less than a week after 57-year-old Robert Dear allegedly killed three and wounded nine more at a Planned Parenthood facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
