At Least 50 People Killed in Las Vegas Shooting
At least 50 people were killed and over 400 wounded when a gunman opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel shortly after 10 PM Sunday night. The sole shooter, named as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, is believed to have committed suicide just before midnight. Many of the victims were attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival taking place below the hotel.—VICE News/Associated Press

Trump at Odds with Tillerson Over North Korea
After Secretary of State Rex Tillerson revealed the US had established channels of communication with Pyongyang, President Trump rejected the idea of talks in a series of tweets Sunday. Facebook to Release Russian Ads as Zuckerberg Apologizes
The social media giant was set to give congressional investigators copies of 3,000 ads Monday believed to have been bought by Russians to undermine the US election. Facebook was also poised to supply data on the users who clicked on the ads. NFL Stars Continue to (Mildly) Protest
Players across the league kneeled before or during the national anthem Sunday, with some on the Cleveland Browns raising a fist while the song was played. Cam Newton marked his record-setting 50th rushing touchdown for the Carolina Panthers with the same black power salute, while the Oakland Raiders' Marshawn Lynch reportedly arrived at his game wearing a T-shirt that read "EVERYBODY VS. Catalonia Votes to Break from Spain
Catalonia's regional government said over 90 percent of the 2.26 million people who voted in Sunday's referendum have opted for independence from the central government in Madrid. At least 844 people were injured in national police raids prompted by the controversial vote, according to the Catalan authority, with video showing riot cops attacking people at polling stations. Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy refused to acknowledge the legitimacy of the referendum and said police had acted with "firmness and serenity."—The Guardian / Reuters

Somali Refugee Accused of Terror Attack in Canada
Canadian police have charged a 30-year-old Somali refugee with attempted murder and terrorism-related crimes after an officer was stabbed and four people were struck by a car in Edmonton Saturday night. Accused Kim Jong Nam Assassins Plead Not Guilty
The two women entered their pleas in a court in Malaysia, where the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was poisoned and killed using a VX nerve agent at Kuala Lumpur airport in February. Palestinian Prime Minister Visits Gaza
Rami Hamdallah, prime minister of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, was meeting with officials in the Gaza Strip Monday in an effort to reconcile fragmented Palestinian leadership. Marilyn Manson Recovering After Stage Accident
