Law Enforcement Says the Tiny Town of Hugo, Colorado Has THC in Its Water

Reports came in on Thursday afternoon that the water supply in the small town of Hugo, Colorado had supposedly tested positive for THC, the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis. At press time, it is in no way clear how this would have happened, or why, but law enforcement is responding by warning people instead of congratulating them.

At 2:31, the Twitter account of the Lincoln County Sheriff announced that there was evidence of THC in the water, and that residents of the town of under 1,000 people, had better not bathe or cook with it. For reasons unknown, it did not direct residents to the websites of Colorado-based Dixie Elixirs, which sells THC-infused bath products.
