Biden Says Sanders Will Endorse Clinton
Vice President Joe Biden has claimed Bernie Sanders will endorse presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. "Oh, I've talked to Bernie, Bernie's going to endorse her, this is going to work out," said Biden. Sanders later said "we are trying to work with Secretary Clinton's campaign on areas that we can agree."—NPR

Judge Blocks Florida Abortion Restrictions
A federal judge has intervened to stop a new Florida law that places funding restrictions and strict inspection requirements on abortion providers. US District Judge Robert Hinkle intervened late Thursday, saying the Florida state government does not have the right to interfere in abortions.—AP

Feds Investigate Death of Driver Using Self-Driving Car
Federal officials are investigating the first death potentially caused by self-driving technology. Joshua Brown, 40, died in Florida back in May while he was testing a Tesla car's "autopilot" system. The car Brown was in collided with a truck. Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted: "Our condolences for the tragic loss."—PBS News

US Military Lifts Transgender Ban
The Pentagon has announced that the ban on transgender troops openly serving in the US military has been lifted, effective immediately. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter said his department estimates about 2,500 active-duty service members are transgender, and would now be able to serve openly.—VICE News

Turkish Police Discover ISIS Cell in Istanbul
Turkish police detained eleven foreigners suspected of being members of an ISIS cell linked to the airport attack in a dawn raid this morning in the Basaksehir district of Istanbul. The three suspected ISIS suicide bombers who killed 44 people in the attack on Ataturk airport were Russian, Uzbek, and Kyrgyz nationals, Turkish officials have revealed.—Reuters

Taiwan Navy Accidentally Fires Supersonic Missile
Taiwan's navy accidentally launched a supersonic anti-ship missile in the direction of China, say officials. A patrol boat was undergoing a drill inspection when the Hsiung Feng III missile was set off. It landed in waters near the Penghu islands, in the strait between Taiwan and China, and did not cause any injuries. – BBC News

Hindu Priest Hacked to Death in Bangladesh
A Hindu priest has been hacked to death at a temple in Bangladesh's Jhinaidah district. Shaymanonda Das, 45, was preparing morning prayers when three men came by on a motorbike, killed him with machetes and fled. Police said a local member of the Jamaat-e-Islami group had been arrested.—Al Jazeera

Israeli Girl Stabbed to Death in Bedroom
A 13-year-old Israeli girl was stabbed to death as she slept in her bedroom in the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba by a Palestinian teenager. The assailant, 17-year-old Mohammed Tarayreh, was subsequently shot dead by Israeli civilian security officers. The victim, Hallel Yaffa Ariel, was a US citizen.—The Guardian

Apple in Talks to Acquire Tidal from Jay-Z
Apple is reportedly exploring the option of buying Jay-Z's music streaming service Tidal. Apple is keen on expanding its music platform and is interested in the strong ties Tidal has to artists willing to release exclusive content.—CNBC News

Trump Vetting Christie and Gingrich for VP
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich are among the finalists to be Donald Trump's vice-presidential running mate, according to campaign advisors familiar with the vetting process.—CNN

Disney Removes Alligator Attractions
Disney has taken out all cartoon depictions of alligators and crocodiles from its attractions at the Magic Kingdom in Florida. It follows the death of a two-year-old boy in an alligator attack at the resort last month.—The Washington Post

Chipotle Boss Reportedly Busted for Cocaine
Chipotle's Chief Creative and Development Officer Mark Crumpacker has been placed on administrative leave, following reports he has been indicted for cocaine possession. He is expected to be arraigned in the coming days.—The Wall Street Journal

Adnan Syed Gets New Trial After Serial Podcast
A Maryland judge has ordered a new trial for Adnan Syed, whose murder conviction was put into question by the 2014 podcast Serial. Syed, 36, is serving a life sentence for the 1999 murder of his former girlfriend Hae Min Lee.—VICE News

NFL Doctors Used Donations to Influence CTE Debate
Documents obtained by VICE Sports show NFL-affiliated doctors attempted to use the league's $30 million pledge to the National Institutes of Health as leverage to appoint more NFL-approved doctors onto a panel examining chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).—VICE Sports
