LIVE: Watch Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford Testify Before the Senate

On Thursday, Christine Blasey Ford will appear ahead of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, where both will testify about allegations she made about a sexual assault she said occurred when the two were in high school.

Kavanaugh's confirmation was thrown into jeopardy after Ford accused him of pushing her into a bedroom at a house party back when they were in high school, where she says he pinned her down and "groped me and tried to take off my clothes" alongside his friend, Mark Judge—all allegations that Kavanaugh has denied.

Already at the hearing, Ford fought back tears describing the alleged assault in detail, explaining how it "drastically altered" her life and why she was "too afraid and ashamed to tell anyone these details" before now. Kavanaugh is set to testify before the committee just after Ford, and he's expected to "categorically and unequivocally deny" the accusations against him, as he wrote in a prepared statement. Meanwhile, he's facing additional allegations of sexual misconduct from other women who have come forward in the last week: Two shared detailed accounts of the alleged encounters and revealed their identities, while two others haven chosen to remain anonymous.

Both Kavanaugh and Ford will face questioning from members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, as well as Arizona sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell.
