Around 2 PM on Wednesday, emergency vehicles and local law enforcement converged on Townville Elementary School in Anderson County, South Carolina, to respond to reports of a shooting, the Greenville News reports.

According to the Anderson Independent Mail, at least two children were shot and have been airlifted to a nearby hospital with injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening. One female teacher was also injured—though whether she was shot is unclear—and was taken to AnMed Medical Center. Authorities were said to be investigating a scene about a mile and a half away from the school where a man was found dead.

Shelia Cole, of the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, said authorities have a teenage suspect in custody. After the school's students were evacuated, a county SWAT inspected the school and put out the all-clear. Teachers took the school's nearly 300 preschool through sixth grade students to the nearby Oak Dale Baptist Church for safety.
