Trump 'Not Happy' About Tom Price's Private Jet Fiasco
The president revealed he's annoyed with the health and human services secretary, Tom Price, after the Cabinet member used private jets extensively, costing taxpayers at least $400,000 since May. Trump said: "I am not happy about it. I'm going to look at it… I let him know." Separately, EPA chief Scott Pruitt has reportedly also been using private planes, costing taxpayers more than $58,000 since June.—Politico/CBS News

White House Moves to Slash Refugee Numbers
The White House is pushing a plan to cap the number of refugees accepted by the US for resettlement to just 45,000 in the coming fiscal year, the lowest level in decades. Mark Zuckerberg Denies Anti-Trump Bias
The Facebook CEO insisted his social media platform was "for everyone" following the president's denunciation of the network as "always anti-Trump." Turkish Airstrike Kills 13 Kurdish Fighters
The Turkish military said it had bombed a site in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq, leaving 13 fighters from the Kurdistan Workers Party dead. The military said it suspected the militants were "preparing for an attack." Turkish authorities are concerned that the referendum held by Iraqi Kurds—more than 92 percent of whom voted in favor of independence—could lead to a rise in separatist activity in Turkey.—Reuters/Al Jazeera

Volcano Forces Evacuation of Vanuatu Island
The whole population of Vanuatu's Ambae island in the Pacific Ocean has been given orders to evacuate following the eruption of a volcano. Most of the 11,000 residents will reportedly be moved to Pentecost Island after officials said the Manaro Voui volcano could produce acid rain along with ash, rocks, and volcanic gas.—BBC News

Dozen Killed in Afghanistan Bomb Attack
At least 12 members of the security services were killed and four others injured when a Humvee exploded at a police and government outpost in the Afghan Province of Kandahar. The Taliban said one of its suicide bombers had carried out the attack in the Maroof area.—Al Jazeera

Former Thai Prime Minister Said to Be Hiding in Dubai
Thailand's military government believes former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, given a five-year prison sentence for negligence this week, is in Dubai after fleeing her homeland in August. Current PM Prayuth Chan-ocha said the foreign ministry had prepared a report "indicating that she is in Dubai."—AP

Young Dolph Shooting Suspect Arrested
Police in Los Angeles have detained 43-year-old Corey McClendon and accused him of the attempted murder of the Memphis rapper. Young Dolph is in "critical but stable" condition after he was shot Tuesday outside a hotel in Hollywood.—USA Today
