Carrie Fisher Reportedly Gave a Cow Tongue to Her Friend's Alleged Attacker

On Thursday, the Emmy Award–winning producer and director Heather Ross told some radio interviewers a savage story about the time her late friend Carrie Fisher confronted a man who had allegedly sexually harassed her.

In the wake of the sexual harassment and assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein, Ross called into Tuscon's 94.9 Morning Mix to recount how the writer and Star Wars actress came to her defense early in her career. Ross said that she had assaulted by an Hollywood executive in his car after he had picked her up to talk business over dinner (she didn't name the executive). When Ross told Fisher about the assault, the actress reportedly decided to bring a gift to the executive's office.

Fisher told Ross that she "went to his office and personally delivered a Tiffany box wrapped with a white bow." Inside, the actress had reportedly placed a cow tongue from a local deli and a note that read: "If you ever touch my darling Heather or any other woman again, the next delivery will be something of yours, in a much smaller box."

Apparently, Fisher had a knack for sending a message with dramatic, gift-based gestures. Entertainment Weekly reported that while shooting Sister Act, she advised Whoopi Goldberg to end an argument with Disney Studios chairman Jeffery Katzenburg by literally sending him a hatchet to bury.

Fisher died from a heart attack last December, leaving behind her daughter, Billie Lourd, her brother Todd Fisher, her half-siblings Joely and Tricia Leigh Fisher, and countless stories of her wit, wisdom, and courage. "That's just how she was," Ross says. "She stood up for people."
